Lyric Schwadron, Henry County Public Schools
Ms. Lyric Schwadron, Henry County resident and native Georgian resides as a member of the organization, Prevent Child Abuse Henry County. Lyric is a longtime advocate for child abuse awareness. Being a survivor herself, this is a cause that is near and dear to her heart. Lyric suffered ten years of abuse at the hands of her father, but her survival has made her stronger and the woman that she has become today. Lyric has used her story to spread a message of awareness to not only prevent future cases of abuse, but also to help provide a voice for those that may be suffering silently and need an inspiration to find help. Lyric has given messages at abuse awareness events, women’s conferences and youth retreats. Lyric works for Henry County Schools as a library assistant where beyond her normal duties, she mentors teenagers who are dealing with their own issues as well as sharing her story to students of the early childhood education program. When Lyric is not spreading her message to her local community and providing support for her students, she is, at the heart of it all a mother to three wonderful children and wife to her husband of seventeen years, Eric. When Lyric does get a spare moment to herself, she enjoys reading, singing and camping with her amazing family.
Lyric join the PCAHC Board in 2014.
